CORUNNA, Mich. (AP) — A judge has deemed a Michigan man unfit for trial in the killing and mutilation of someone he met through the dating app Grindr.
During a hearing Thursday, 66th District Court Judge Ward Clarkson also ordered 50-year-old defendant Mark Latunski to be transferred to a psychiatric facility.
Latunski is charged with murder and other crimes in the December killing of a 25-year-old Swartz Creek man named Kevin Bacon.
Authorities say Bacon's body was found hanging from the ceiling of Latunski's home in Bennington Township, and that Latunski admitted that he killed the victim and ate parts of his body.
