LANSING, Mich. — Protests in Lansing led police to put a curfew in place, effective immediately.

In a Tweet Sunday, Michigan State Police said violence and destruction lead to the curfew and urged people to leave right away.

In the tweet they said, "Notice: City of Lansing has enacted a curfew effective immediately due to violence and destruction of property occurring in downtown. Individuals are advised to leave now or face arrest. #LansingProtes."
