LANSING, Mich. — Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed and executive order Wednesday extending case-initiation deadlines in civil and probate matters during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Governor's office says executive order 2020-58 is effective immediately.
They say the order does not exclude expedited hearings to resolve emergencies.
Also, the order does not change the court's ability to entertain a motion, extend any deadline, or implement additional policies as needed.
