LANSING, Mich. — Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Monday extended all personal protection orders, even if they were set to expire before then.

All PPOs have been extended to July 21, 2020.

“Michiganders who file for personal protection orders due to threats, stalking, and abuse should have peace of mind in their homes during the ongoing health crisis,” the governor stated in a release from her office.

Executive Order 2020-63 comes at the same time an administrative order was issued by the Michigan Supreme Court that extended the validity of PPOs until 90 days after the lifting of the state’s declaration of state of emergency.
