A former Michigan pastor will serve 17 years in prison for sexually exploiting underage girls.
Jackie Woodburn, 64, was the director of Colonial Woods Christian Counseling Center near Port Huron for almost three decades.
WXYZ reports Woodburn used a chatroom-based website to target girls by pretending to be a teenage boy. Court documents say he would transition conversations from the chatroom to email and social media platforms.
Prosecutors say he used his age to manipulate, pressure and coerce the girls to undress and engage in sexual acts on camera.
Court documents say Woodburn’s victims were a 12-year-old from Texas and a 13-year-old from Kansas. He was also accused of trying to target a 9-year-old in Virginia. Federal investigators said there were more victims who weren’t identified in the indictment.
