WOODHAVEN, Mich. — A dog was reunited with his family after he was thrown from their car in a rollover crash.

After a week of searching, Red was found and returned home with his family in Woodhaven.

Red was lost on Christmas, when his family hit a slippery while driving down I-75, rolling their car several times and hitting a guard rail. The Stevenson family wasn't seriously hurt, but Red was thrown from the car and ran away.

He was found on New Years Eve, and taken to the vet, who said the he lost a few pounds but was otherwise healthy.

In a video on WXYZ's Facebook page, Wade Stevenson said that the bond Red shared with their daughter is the reason they couldn't give up finding him.
