There’s an email going around that looks like it’s from Netflix and claims your account is locked and you need to update your payment method.
It’s a phishing scam.
A staff member at FOX 17’s sister station in Detroit, WXYZ, received the email, which looked like this:
Note that the link you are asked to click through doesn’t go to Netflix. It goes to “metflix.us”.
And the 800 phone number is not valid.
Netflix told WXYZ that if you should not click on any links in an email like this, and you can forward it to phishing@netflix.com.
