MOUNT PLEASANT — Police say an armed robbery suspect was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday night.
It happened around 11 p.m. at the Marathon Gas Station located at 2025 E. Remus Road in Mount Pleasant.
Michigan State Police say it was one of two armed robberies being investigated at the time of the shooting.
Police approached the suspect walking out of a store when they got out with a handgun.
Police say the suspect was shot several times and an officer was wounded in the leg.
The officer was treated and released from the hospital.
