Shot four times, young victim drives himself to hospital

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Benton Township Police were called to Spectrum Lakeland Health when a 17-year-old boy drove himself there after being shot four times.

The victim told BTPD officers he was shot by four males in a white passenger car, the department said in a release.

The car pulled up beside the victim as he traveled along M-139 near E. Empire Avenue when they opened fire.

The victim, whose identity was not released, is expected to recover. The suspects are at large.
