PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Southbound US-31 was closed for about 45 minutes Monday morning after a rollover crash in Ottawa County.
It happened around 8:20 a.m. on US-31 at Taylor Street in Port Sheldon Township, north of West Olive.
Authorities said a vehicle was going north on the highway when the driver lost control because of worn tires. The vehicle slid through the median and rolled over in the southbound lanes and blocked traffic.
The driver was able to get himself out of the vehicle and was treated by emergency responders at the scene.
Traffic was blocked while crews cleared the scene but has since reopened.
