Missing Ottawa County woman thought to have been hiking in Oceana County

Update: Authorities said Tuesday afternoon that they found Casler's body in the Manistee National Forest.

GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Lisa Ann Casler, 54, is believed to be missing in the Pines Point area of Oceana County.

Ottawa County authorities believe she was last hiking in that area because they pinged her cell phone and it came back as being in Oceana County southwest of Hesperia. They contacted Oceana County authorities, who searched until 1 a.m. Tuesday and planned to continue on Tuesday.

Casler, an employee of Community Mental Health in Ottawa County, has not been heard from since Monday at 4 p.m.

She is believed to be wearing a brown North Face jacket, blue jeans, and hiking boots. She is described as having brown eyes, black to grey hair, 5’3” and 200 pounds.

Casler is thought have been hiking and birding in the Pines Point area of the Manistee National Forest.
