GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 34-year-old Hudsonville man ejected from his car and sent to the hospital in critical condition after crashing his car into the ditch outside Unity Christian High School.
Deputies say the single-car crash happened around 2 a.m. on 48th Avenue north of Van Buren Street in Georgetown Township. Authorities say the man was driving South on 48th Ave when he drifted along the ditch until he hit a water culvert and light pole outside the school.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle in the crash and transported to Butterworth Hospital via Aeromed Helicopter. The crash remains under investigation.
