HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police responded to a crash involving two vehicles on Riley Street in Holland Township this afternoon, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

We’re told a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 24-year-old Holland resident, was traveling east on Riley Street when it ran a red light on 112th Avenue before crashing into an eastbound delivery truck.

Police say the driver of the Blazer was ejected after the impact and was taken to Holland Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. They add that the other driver did not sustain any injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The incident is currently being investigated.
