GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — After massive crowds made way to Grand Haven State Park over the weekend, authorities closed off the park's parking lots.
The announcement came from the city of Grand Haven's Facebook page. Officials said they made the decision, "due to overwhelming crowds ignoring physical distancing requirements on Saturday."
Visitors are also being asked to stay at least six feet from others and to avoid gathering and forming groups.
The city has not said whether the lot will be open on Monday but for now they're asking potential visitors to keep away, saying "we look forward to seeing crowds again after the COVID 19 threat passes."
