GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The beach at 8th Avenue Park will be closed to the public for algae treatment on Tuesday, July 20.
Georgetown Charter Township made the announcement on their Facebook page on Monday.
Officials say people and animals should avoid contact with the water in 8th Avenue Lake for 24 hours after the treatment.
The beach will reopen to the public July 21.
