Georgetown man dies after crashing into tree near Parsons Street

GEORGETOWN TWP., Mich. — A 30-year-old Georgetown man passed away today after crashing into a tree on Parsons Street.

Just before 5 p.m. today, deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a single-vehicle personal injury crash on Parsons Street, east of 14th Avenue in Georgetown Township.

The driver of the lone vehicle in the crash was heading east on Parsons Street when he drifted off of the roadway and struck a large tree on the north side of the roadway.

Responding medical crews pronounced the driver deceased on scene.

There were no other passengers or other vehicles involved in this crash.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until family notifications are complete.
