ROBINSON TWNP., Mich. — Two drivers and two passengers were sent to the hospital in a two-car crash in Robinson Township this afternoon.
Just before 1 p.m., the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a personal injury traffic crash on Lake Michigan Drive at 104th Ave.
A Jeep Cherokee driven by a 78-yr-old Grand Rapids resident was heading southbound on 104th Ave when she stopped at the stop sign to proceed into the intersection and pulled into the path of a westbound Chevy Prism on Lake Michigan Dr., causing a collision.
The driver of the Chevy Prism was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated by Fire/Rescue.
The driver in the Chevy Prism was transferred to Butterworth for their injuries, while the passenger was transferred to St. Mary's hospital.
The driver and passenger in the Jeep Cherokee were transferred to St Mary's hospital for their injuries.
The road way is currently closed and traffic is being re-routed while crews are clean up the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was cited for Failing to Yield the right of way.
