GEORGETOWN TWP., Mich. — A two-car crash in Georgetown Township this morning sent one elderly woman to the hospital.
The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. near a gas station on 48th Avenue and Port Sheldon Street.
A 42-year-old woman in a Honda Pilot was turning left into a gas station parking lot, and did not seen an oncoming Chevrolet Malibu.
The Chevrolet Malibu, driven by an 89-year-old woman, was driving south on 48th ave. and had a green light to legally move through the intersection.
The 89-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Honda Pilot was cited for failing to yield.
