GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 62-year-old Grand Haven Township woman was injured during a crash that blocked the northbound lanes of US-31 at Comstock Street on Thursday, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Preliminary investigations at the scene show the 62-year-old woman was driving a Ford Edge about 8:10 p.m. in the median crossing to turn from southbound US-31 to eastbound Comstock Street.

She did not yield for a red light and drove into the northbound lanes – directly into the path of a Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by a 46-year-old Zeeland resident.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The 46-year-old was not injured.

Northbound lanes were closed for 45 minutes for vehicle removal and scene clean-up.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
