CEDAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman died Thursday from injuries she suffered in a fire at her Muskegon County home.
The fire happened around 6:05 p.m. Wednesday at a home on E River Road in Cedar Creek Township. An 87-year-old woman was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital to be treated for burns and smoke inhalation.
She died at the hospital Thursday morning. Her name hasn’t been released at this point.
Investigators say the cause of the fire was related to the use of candles inside and it was an accident.
