MUSKEGON, Mich. — Ths USS LST 393 has been through a World War and is now surviving a pandemic.

Located on the waterfront in downtown Muskegon, this is the 16th year that it has been a Veterans museum.

It opens on Saturday for tours for the first time in quite a while.

A lot of effort has been put into making your visit to the museum as safe as possible: tour areas are being cleaned multiple times a week and new sanitizer stations are located throughout the ship.

Face coverings are also required for everyone on board.

The museum's newest additions include an expanded tribute to women in the military, a large cargo truck, and some add-ons to the "Muskegon Connection" display.

Adults can take $10 self-guided tours while students pay $5.

They are open every Thursday through Sunday until Labor Day.
