MUSKEGON, Mich. — Muskegon County courts will limit access on Fridays beginning this week due to financial constraints caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The public will not be allowed into court on Fridays, but those with emergency needs can still call or email the court, according to a news release.

The Circuit and Probate courts will begin implementing the “limited access Fridays” on Aug. 14, while the district court will start doing so on Sept. 11.

The new limited hours will help the courts save about $538,000 through the end of the calendar year.
