NORTON SHORES, Mich. — Getty Drive-In, a Muskegon area icon, will reopen Friday June 5, according to owners Studio C, formerly known as Jack Loeks Theaters.
Three movies will be on the bill: “Trolls World Tour,” “The Invisible Man,” and “Superman” from 1978 starring Christopher Reeve.
The drive-in will stay at 50 percent capacity to make it easier for people to maintain social distance.
Online purchase of tickets is encouraged, and online ticket fees will be waived. And no cash will be accepted for tickets; only credit cards or online purchases.
The Getty Drive-In opened in 1944, and several times seemed ready to be closed, only to be saved.
