GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Long Road Distillers is temporarily closing its Grand Haven location after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 this week, according to a Facebook post.

The company closed its Grand Haven location Thursday and says it could be closed longer than that while crews work to sanitize and clean the building.

Long Road Distillers says the employee's last shift was last Thursday. The employee did complete the wellness check before their shift and didn't show signs or symptoms.

The employee says she believes she may have been exposed last weekend at a "busy bar in Grand Rapids where social distancing and face covering recommendations weren't being closely adhered to."

Out of an abundance of caution, Long Road Grand Haven has brought in a team to professionally deep clean and sanitizer the space.

The company also says it will test all employees who worked last Thursday and will wait for their results before allowing them back to work or reopening.

"Our priority is to keep our team and our guests healthy and safe," Long Road Grand Haven said in a Facebook post.
