WAYLAND, Mich. — Car enthusiasts got to take part in a socially distant auto show over the weekend.
On Saturday, July 25, Gun Lake Casino and Auto Body Xperts teamed up to host the "Wayland Car Show" with more than 150 vehicles parked for everyone to check out. Walk-ups were not allowed, but for those who preregistered there was a raffle drawing, dash plaques, and fun window displays. The show also teamed up with the Wayland Farmer's Market to help promote local farmers.
Safety measures were taken into effect. Courtney Sleeman, Marketing Coordinator for Auto Body Xperts, says that hand sanitizer stations were set up all over the parking lot and every table was outfitted with protocol sheets and mask requirements.
Proceeds from this year's event went to the Wayland VFW.
