BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A pair of "suspicious" deaths at an apartment complex have been ruled a double homicide by police this afternoon.
Two residents of Silver Creek Apartments in Battle Creek — Fred Bissel, 62, and Jason Dush, 41 — were found dead in an apartment by another resident on April 12 at 4:30 p.m., according to Battle Creek Police today.
Battle Creek Police believe the two men were friends but not roommates. When officers arrived at the apartment, they found "signs of a struggle."
The causes of their deaths are "undetermined," and police are waiting on results from the medical examiner’s office.
Police said they've notified the men's families.
Investigators are still processing the scene and following leads in the case.
