KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery in the 1300 block of Fox Ridge Dr. around 7 p.m. Friday night.
The victim set up a meeting with the suspect over social media so that they could buy a cell phone, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Instead of selling the phone, the suspect showed off a handgun and stole the victim's money.
After an investigation, officers identified the suspect and found them inside of an apartment nearby.
The suspect, a 28-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was arrested for armed robbery and is being held at Kalamazoo County Jail.
