KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Officers responded to a disturbance in an apartment building in the 1300 block of Fox Ridge Dr. at around 9 p.m. Friday night.

They heard 4 to 5 shots fired after they entered and found a crowd in the hallway.

Once they were led into one of the apartments, they found a 25-year-old woman whose stomach had been grazed by a bullet.

Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers learned that the suspect had run into a nearby apartment, so they called in the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team equipped with a search warrant.

While they did not find the suspect in that apartment, they continued to investigate the apartment where they found the victim, recovering three firearms and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine.

A 21-year-old male and 24 year old male were arrested from the apartment on outstanding but unrelated warrants. The victim of the shooting was treated and released on scene.

If you have any information about the shooting call the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 488-8911, the Criminal Investigation Division at 337-8139, or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
