PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 32-year-old Battle Creek man is in custody after driving drunk and attacking a homeowner while trying to get into their house.
The suspect slid off the road on Pine Lake Rd. near Crase Rd. before running into the nearby woods around 11:45 p.m. Friday night.
He then assaulted the owner of a nearby home while trying to force his way into their house, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department.
After a struggle, the suspect left on foot until K9 Tuco tracked him to another nearby building where he was again trying to force his way in.
The suspect is being held at Calhoun County Jail for multiple charges.
