KALAMAZOO, Mich. — It has been a new learning experience for all parents, teachers, and students this year.
Much of that involves working in an out-of-school capacity, which means educational efforts have become even more important to the health and growth of youths in the community.
That's why Kalamazoo Youth Development (KYD) Network is hosting a virtual run/walk to keep the lights on after school, in honor of Cynthia Moore. 'Ms. Cynthia' worked for Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation for over twenty years, spending her time with students through after-school programs, summer camps, and other youth events.
The event runs from October 22 to 24 and costs $25 per person to register self and/or cover the cost for others in the community.
Meg Blinkiewicz, Executive Director for KYD Network, joined Fox 17 live to talk about the event in more detail.
