KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Three people have been arrested for firing pistols at a Kalamazoo house with residents still inside.

At 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, officers responded to calls of numerous gun shots on South Burdick Street, near the Salvation Army and Christian Resource Center.

When they arrived, they found a large amount of shell casings on the ground and multiple bullet holes in the house.

A nearby witness gave police a description of a suspected vehicle, which another officer found a few minutes later on Stadium Drive near Lume Cannabis Company and Sweetwater's Donut Mill.

The vehicle then parked at a hotel and four people got out, but only three of them were found and arrested on charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Three handguns were found in the vehicle along with spent shell casings, and no one was injured.

This is still an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Kalamazoo Public Safety at 269-337-8139 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.
