Two teens shot in Kalamazoo hours apart

KALAMAZOO — Police say two teens were shot hours apart in Kalamazoo.

The first shooting happened Sunday evening around 10:30 p.m. in the area of Jackson and Russell. Police say a 17-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The second happened early Monday around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Mills and Stockbridge. Another 17-year-old was had been shot, according to police.

Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries. There were no arrests or suspect descriptions in either case.
