PAVILION TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Kalamazoo County Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a 1-year-old last year a homicide.
The infant was found unresponsive around 11:18 p.m. Sept. 13 at a mobile home on Walburn Street in Pavilion Township. Deputies tried to perform CPR, but weren’t able to save the boy.
Deputies also found multiple injuries to the child, which were further investigated by the medical examiner’s office, which determined the death was homicide.
A suspect was identified and deputies turned the case over to the prosecutor’s office on Jan. 7.
