KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A teen is behind bars after a couple caught him breaking into their apartment, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
It happened around 2 a.m. Monday at a home on Burr Oak Street in Kalamazoo.
Police say the couple called heard a noise outside and when they went to check it out the teen pulled out a gun on them and demanded the couple turn over property.
The victims realized the gun was fake and pinned him to the ground until cops could arrive and arrest the 18-year-old suspect.
The teen is now facing several felony charges.
