CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Several people were hurt Tuesday in a crash involving a U.S. Department of Corrections vehicle on I-94 near the border of Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties.
The crash happened around 1:53 p.m. on westbound I-94 near M-37 in Charleston Township.
Authorities say the van was taking inmates to a correctional facility in Illinois when it collided with another vehicle on the highway.
Investigators didn’t specify how many people were hurt or what their conditions were.
