PORTAGE, Mich. — The Portage Department of Public Safety is taking votes on what to name the newest four-legged member of its staff.
Officer Wentworth selected his new K-9 partner from a kennel in Pennsylvania. The dog is a Malinois-shepherd mix born in Hungary who will be back in Michigan soon for intense training with Wentworth.
The three options are Hugo, Riggs or Dante.
Votes can be cast on the department’s Facebook page. The winner will be announced Sunday night.
