PORTAGE, Mich. — Portage Parks and Recreation is holding a virtual event series to commemorate Black History Month this February.
The event series, titled “Local Leaders Spotlight, Highlighting the Black Experience with Personal Interviews and Demonstrations,” will be held every Friday at 7 p.m. in February, according to the City of Portage.
Each event is expected to feature a prominent local African American leader who will reflect on their experience as it pertains to their proficiencies.
No registration is required, and the event series is free to all.
