KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety requests assistance in locating the suspect in a stabbing incident that allegedly took place last week.

Police say they arrived on Charlotte Avenue Nov. 5 to find the 71-year-old victim, who had been stabbed and robbed. We’re told the suspect demanded the victim to hand over his wallet, throwing him to the ground when he refused. The suspect reportedly searched the man before stabbing him a number of times and fleeing the area.

Authorities say the victim was taken to Borgess Hospital. He is currently listed in stable condition.

The suspect is still at large, according to police. They say he is a 6’02” Black male with a “medium to dark complexion,” has light-colored eyes and may be wearing a gray hoodie, gray cloth mask and matching winter cap. See the included composite sketch.
