Update 2: The eastbound lanes on I-94 between 131 and Sprinkle Road have been reopened, according to dispatchers. We're told traffic delays may be present.
Update: As of 4:50 p.m. today, I-94 east bound is still closed but drivers are now being directed to get off at US-131.
Drivers are expected to seek an alternate route at this time.
The eastbound lane on I-94 from South Westnedge Avenue is closed to traffic following a “severe accident,” according to the Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch Authority.
