KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A man fired an assault rifle at an apartment building in Kalamazoo on Tuesday evening, with a tenant having to duck to avoid gunfire, Kalamazoo police said Friday.
The incident happened about 5:40 p.m. on the 3000 block of South Burdick St.
Nine bullets entered four different apartments within the building, reaching bedrooms, bathrooms and a refrigerator, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety found.
Video surveillance and evidence from the scene shows the shooting was deliberately done by a man police described as wearing a white T-shirt.
The shooter has not been identified, but a photo shows he left in a gold impala with a spoiler.
