KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo County is moving forward with plans for a justice facility in downtown Kalamazoo.

The five-story, 165,000-square-foot facility will be built next to the Kalamazoo County Administration Building along Kalamazoo Avenue, where it will house the county's courts, prosecutor's office and other criminal justice services.

Construction is schedule to begin this summer and be done in April 2023.

The courtrooms will be organized in a traditional four-court set along Kalamazoo Avenue. Areas with high foot traffic and jury assembly will be on the first floors for convenient access and the prosecutor's office will be on the fourth floor.
