CHARLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested a 47-year-old man after receiving reports of him shooting at passing cars.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 39th St. & MN Ave. in Charlestown Township around 8:40 p.m Monday. It’s a rural area southeast of Galesburg and a short distance from I-94.

Roads in the area were blocked off while deputies worked the scene.

Deputies along with assistance of the Kalamazoo Metro Swat Team and Great Lakes Drone were able to take him into custody without anyone getting hurt.

The suspect is now in the Kalamazoo County Jail facing felony charges.

The sheriff's office later released an update saying the suspect did not shoot at any vehicles but had aimed a gun at a driver that was passing by. We're told no cars or people were hit with gunfire during the incident.
