LANSING, Mich. — A serial sex offender from Kalamazoo has been sentenced to up to 22.5 years behind bars.
William Darnell Johnson, 39, was charged for committing a series of sexual assaults on women between 2001 and 2014, according to the Michigan Attorney General’s office.
“This defendant has a track record of multiple violent sexual assaults on several women, and these survivors had the courage to come forward and report those assaults to law enforcement,” says Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. “This conviction would not have been possible without the hard work and determination of the Kalamazoo SAKI team.”
We’re told Johnson also has a lengthy criminal history with convictions ranging from assault and battery to domestic violence and unarmed robbery.
