Kalamazoo Institute of Arts hosts new exhibit showcasing art from Asian immigrants

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo Institute of Art is home to a new exhibit that highlights art from Asians who have immigrated to Latin America and the Caribbean.

With over 70 works on display, 'Cultural Encounters: Art of Asian Diasporas in Latin America & The Caribbean, 1945–Present' will be available for public viewing through January 17, 2021.

Rehema Barber, Chief Curator at Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, joined Fox 17 live to share the impact on modern and contemporary art, as well as what the community can expect to see.
