KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo County Parks system will be open on a limited basis beginning May 6.
The limited reopening mainly will allow access to walking and bike trails, boat ramps, and shoreline fishing daily from 7 a.m. till dark.
Many part amenities will remain closed:
- Playgrounds
- Campgrounds
- Dog parks
- Disc golf course
- Radio-controlled flying field
- Picnic shelters and picnic tables
“Adherence to social distancing and remaining at least six feet from people outside the individual’s household to combat COVID-19 is critical,” said parks director David Rachowicz in a release.
Staff will monitor use of the parks for future evaluation.
