KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Flames and smoke greeted units from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Tuesday evening at a house fire near downtown Kalamazoo.
Fire in the residence in the 1000 block of Mills Street was found on the first and second floors at the back of the house.
The first was under control in about 25 minutes.
There was no one in the building at the time, though it is usually occupied.
