COMSTOCK CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Comstock Charter Township firefighters were at the scene of a fire for more than three hours Thursday night.
A neighbor reported just before 9 p.m. that someone was trapped in their basement, according to a news release.
Firefighters arrived to find fire coming out of the front window and smoke throughout at the home located at 198 Level Street.
A passerby had helped the occupant out of the building before fire crews arrived.
The fire was brought under control in less than 15 minutes, but there was “extensive overhaul” because of the number of belongings in the home.
