OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A suspect has been arrested after threatening someone with a gun and leading deputies on a chase through Kalamazoo.
Around midnight on Sunday morning, deputies responded to a call that someone had been assaulted with a gun pointed at them. This happened at Red Roof Inn West in Oshtemo Township, near US-131 and Asylum Lake Preserve.
When authorities arrived, they tried to stop the suspect's vehicle, prompting them to speed off. Spike strips were laid out, causing the suspect to crash on Stadium Drive and Lovell Street.
The driver has been arrested for multiple outstanding warrants and their firearm was seized.
