PORTAGE, Mich. — Police are investigating the death of a 14-month-old girl early Saturday morning as suspicious.
At 10 p.m. Friday, Portage Police and Fire Rescue responded to a report of an unresponsive 14-month-old girl in the 6100 block of Condor Court. Upon arriving at the scene, the infant was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
At 3 a.m. Saturday, the Portage Department of Public Safety was notified that the girl had died.
The Kalamazoo County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and the results are pending.
Portage Public Safety said that "the death is considered suspicious."
