KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — A man has died after being hit by a boat while swimming in Gull Lake Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred just before 2:00 p.m. in the southwest portion of Gull Lake, located in Kalamazoo County.
Deputies say the man was swimming in the lake when he was struck by the boat.
The man was taken to shore and where deputies say lifesaving measures were performed, but the man ultimately died from his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and police are withholding the name of the victim until family is notified.
